A relative newcomer to the Lower North Shore's dining scene, Aristotle’s is a Greek gem that is surprising locals and visitors. Chef Heydeon Young runs the kitchen, while owner Maria O’Meagher supervises the floor with a friendly approach, making sure nothing is missing. The elegant decor was inspired by Aristotle Onassis’ yacht; white couches at the outside tables are an extension of the very high-ceilinged room with stunning gold lamps and elegant dark timber tables.
The menu is designed for sharing, or, as the Greeks call it, meze. The delicious haloumi is served with pomegranate, red grapes, honey, balsamic, oregano and walnuts. Cypriot sausages arrive to the table still cooking over a live flame, and if you prefer a seafood choice, go with the chargrilled octopus or seared scallops, as they are simply delicious. The wine menu is extensive and the welcoming staff are well trained to help you with a selection to suit your meal.
PSST! Gyros are served for lunch for adults and kids.
