Annata is now home to Chef Jimmy Richardson (ex-Cafe Paci and The Bridge Room), and is the perfect place for him to express his creativity and excite diners with his vision. Start at one of the high tables at the bar for a drink from the well-curated wine and cocktail list, before being enticed by the comfortable upper dining level. Annata’s vibe is friendly and relaxed, and brick walls and half-moon windows create an under-ground atmosphere.
Coming one by one to the table, small and larger dishes impress with the clever use of textures and innovative combinations. Strips of soft cuttlefish are served with goat milk panna cotta and a subtle tomato dashi. Kurobuta pork rack, where a reduced chocolate porter perfectly complements the pink flesh of the meat, is a hit, as is the perfectly cooked cobia, served with zucchini flowers, onion broth and skordalia.
PSST! Try either the short menu or the Annata menu, which are personalised set menu options designed by the kitchen.
