An exclusive event for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival
Chapel Street’s Zhou Zhou Bar will be transformed into a haven for whisky lovers and dumpling fiends alike on Thursday 19 March in an exclusive event for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
The experts in Japanese whisky will curate a line-up of Suntory whiskies, an endless supply of dumplings and live music showcasing the best of Melbourne nightlife.
Guests will kick-off the evening with a whisky highball while soaking up the live music and social ambience of Oriental Teahouse’s upstairs drinking den.
The music will be put on hold throughout the evening so that guests can learn about the art of Japanese fine whisky while snacking on bottomless eats served up on a communal feasting table. Expect speciality drops such as Hibiki, Yamazaki and Hakushu as the night goes on.
While whisky aficionados will enjoy revisiting familiar flavour profiles, the event is a great opportunity for those less informed in the malt department to discover and unlock new drink options that are served all year round at Zhou Zhou.
Round up like-minded friends or save the date for knock-off drinks and eats at the southside watering hole. Tickets are limited and available now through the Melbourne Food and Wine website.
Zhou Zhou Bar is the resident drinking den found upstairs at Oriental Teahouse. The upstairs bar has one of the most extensive Japanese whisky collections in Melbourne, despite aged statement and single malt whisky being difficult to source throughout Australia.
