Celebrating the world’s most coveted ingredient, Truffles at Stokehouse is the headline event on the Truffle Melbourne calendar, presenting an interactive evening of quality food and wine, featuring special guests and prize giveaways.
Champagne and canapés will greet guests on arrival in the adjacent STOKEBAR, before indulging in a four-course truffle-driven menu by talented Head Chef Ollie Hansford in Stokehouse’s stunning seaside restaurant. The black gold-inspired menu will be matched with premium wine pairings by Group Sommelier Gavin Cremming, and will include a decadent truffle cocktail.
Setting the tone for the evening,Truffle Melbourne Founder Nigel Wood will share tales from his experience as a truffle grower, while demystifying the desired winter delicacy. He will also take to the floor alongside a guest truffle supplier, while wait staff wander the room generously shaving truffles for a little extra indulgence.
But it’s two furry friends who will steal the show, when Australian Shepherd dogs perform a special ‘truffle hunt’ that will see prizes sniffed out from below the chairs of two lucky guests.
A night not to be missed, Truffles at Stokehouse also marks the first event for Stokehouse St Kilda’s winter program, with more announcements still to come.
