Solotel Group and Matt Moran raise $550,000 from bushfire initiatives

Funds raised will be donated to Rural Fire Services in NSW and Queensland

The owners of the Solotel Group, the Solomon Family, along with Matt Moran are pleased to announce that they are donating a total of $550,000 to Rural Fire Services in NSW and Queensland. The donation includes the initial pledge of $280,000 ($10,000 per venue) from the Solomon Family and Matt Moran.

A further $270,000 was raised by a series of fundraising initiatives including Bushfire Relief Hour and Bushfire Relief Dish or Drink, which gave guests the opportunity to purchase food and drinks from the particular venue with all proceeds being donated by the venues to the Rural Fire Services in NSW and Queensland.

“We have been humbled by the support of our guests in helping us to raise much needed funds to support families, communities, emergency workers and volunteers impacted by the catastrophic fires,” says Anna Solomon.

Matt Moran added, “The support has been fantastic. It’s been great to see diners going out of their way to order the bushfire dishes and drinks, knowing that all the proceeds went to those who need it”.

All funds raised will be donated to Rural Fire Services in NSW and Queensland.
