Opera Bar is throwing the ultimate Summer Weekender party this January long weekend

Saturday, 25 January to Monday, 27 January

To celebrate summer, Sydney’s favourite waterside venue, Opera Bar, is throwing a three-day Summer Weekender party over the January long weekend. Kicking off on Saturday, 25 January and running through to Monday, 27 January, Opera Bar will be offering its always-spectacular views, Aussie-inspired food and drinks, live music, surf vibes, giant Jenga and a chance to nab the best spot in the house (or perhaps the city).

Nestled beside the Sydney Opera House, Opera Bar is renowned for its stunning views over the harbour and iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. On Sunday, 26 January, Opera Bar is giving customers the opportunity to score the ultimate vantage point from 5pm for the Circular Quay festivities and annual 9pm fireworks. For just $25, customers can pre-purchase a prime viewing spot right on the water’s edge, complete with access to a private bar. As an added bonus, the first 200 people to book will score an Opera Bar tote filled with Aussie cult classics, including Tim Tams, 4 Pines merchandise and much more.

In classic Opera Bar style, the drinks will be flowing all weekend, with the team creating a range of specialty Aussie drinks and cocktails, including an Australian Spritz with Adelaide Hills bitter orange aperitif, South Australian sparkling and fresh orange; Brookvale Union frozen cocktails featuring a Ginger Beer and a Peach Ice Tea; and the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ – a cocktail made with Archie Rose’s ‘ArchieMite Buttered Toast-flavoured Spirit’, lemon myrtle, tomato water, soda and topped with a mini cheese toastie. A 4 Pines branded ‘Surf Shack’ will pop up for the duration, serving up a wide range of 4 Pines brews alongside surf-inspired styling and beach vibes.

For the menu, Opera Bar has whipped up an Aussie Beef Burger and chips deal for just $22 as well as a classic fisherman’s basket with prawns, calamari, beer battered fish bites and chips for $30. For dessert, they’ve cracked open a jar of Australia’s favourite breakfast spread to create a Salted Caramel Vegemite Slice – merging two Aussie classics into one delicious sweet treat. Each of these slices will be served with a mini koala, with 100% of proceeds from each dessert sold going directly to WIRES to help endangered wildlife affected by the ongoing bushfire crisis.

Drinks and food will be on offer all weekend long, with live entertainment across the weekend. Opera Bar will be open to the general public all weekend long, however pre-purchased tickets for the vantage points are available now from
