NOW OPEN: Pinchy's Champagne and Lobster Bar at 200 Bourke St

Live it up on Bourke St with seafood and champagne this Summer

Following successful pop-up activations at HWKR and Emporium, Pinchy’s Champagne and Lobster Bar has opened its flagship restaurant at 200 Bourke Street. Led by Executive Chef Pierre Khodja (Camus, Canvas, Terminus Restaurant), the venue offers quality casual dining in a fun, unpretentious setting.

Pinchy’s Champagne and Lobster Bar also boasts a sprawling terrace overlooking Bourke Street, making it the place to be this summer.

Pinchy's Lobster Roll

The culinary offering at Pinchy’s represents the Spanish tradition of tapas, with an influence of Asian spices and aromatic herbs. The decadent Pinchy’s lobster roll the brand has made a name for is a feature on the menu, with other dishes including:

·      Prawn head roll

·      Razor clams with herb butter and lemon

·      Stuffed calamari with tarragon dressing

·      Mussels chowder

·      Octopus on potato salad with capers

·      Scallop on squid ink risotto

·      Salted cod sandwich

Executive Chef Pierre Khodja is supported by Bar Manager James Burchett (Boilermaker House) and Tina Bryan (QT Hotels & Resorts) as Venue Manager.

Pinchy's prides itself on its supply of delicious, sustainable seafood, with its lobster sourced from pollution-free fisheries in Alaska and Maine. The venue will continue to provide the same consistent, reliable produce that Melbourne has come to know and love over the last few months.

Pinchy's Negroni

The drinks list is predominantly champagne-focused. Diners can look forward to a selection of classic tipples alongside champagne-based cocktails and wines.

Designed by BrandWorks, the fitout at Pinchy’s Champagne and Lobster Bar is an extension of the existing brand design language. A classic design is approached with a colourful palette, using pastels such as soft pinks, warm oranges and regal blue. Velour banquettes and terrazzo detailing on tabletops and bar counters offers textural variation.

Hand-painted signage, vibrant neon and oversized graphic prints are reflective of Pinchy’s playful aesthetic, and are interspersed with metallic and mirrored elements in rose gold. Casual lounges and daybeds on the balcony create an informal, inviting ambience. Lush greenery and warm pink lighting in the space makes it feel more welcoming and convivial.

From those looking to grab a quick drink, to others wanting to extend their stay until the later hours of the evening, Pinchy's Champagne and Lobster Bar has all the bases covered. The venue seats 75 people indoors, and 60 people on the balcony, with spaces suited for both small and large groups.
