New York Speakeasy Death & Co is launching an exclusive cocktail experience across three Australian venues

One night only in each city

Bringing Aussies a touch of old New York glamour, Australian Venue Co (AVC) has partnered with Death & Co, one of the most influential bars to emerge from the current craft cocktail revival in America.

Moving across the Pacific in partnership with Aviation Gin, Death & Co will pop up at three iconic Australian venues for one night only; Wolf Lane, Perth (Wednesday, 29th January); The Winery, Sydney (Sunday, 2nd February) and Trinket, Melbourne (Wednesday, 5th February).

At each venue, a bespoke cocktail and paired food experience will be carefully curated and delivered in true Death & Co speakeasy style for diners to enjoy. The talented team will bring their expertise on the contemporary cocktail movement, having defined the theories, ingredients and philosophies of modern drink making, and setting the pace for mixologists around the world.

The three not-to-be-missed events, hosted by Death & Co partners, David Kaplan and Alex Day, will offer diners the opportunity to meet with the cocktail and culinary experts at each venue. Tickets are available for $95pp and will include a paired cocktail and food menu, featuring three cocktails along with a welcome shot: ‘Have At It’ (Aviation Gin, Dry Sack Sherry, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, simple syrup) paired with Salt & vinegar alt bush chips and chicken skin chips in Perth and a sweeter farewell shot, ‘Cortado’ (vodka, Amaro Nardini, Spresso Coffee Liqueur, vanilla syrup, Coco Lopez, cold brew coffee, salt solution, water) paired with a Lamington Magnum, dessert peach, Mt Zero pink salt in Melbourne. Additionally, for true cocktail enthusiasts, tickets including a signed Cocktail Codex book written by Death & Co partners are available for $145pp.

Kylie Moncur, Head of Marketing at Australian Venue Co revealed, “AVC is always looking to be on the forefront and leading the way for the food and beverage scene across Australia. We’re excited to partner with Death & Co as pioneers in the cocktail industry to see how they bring their knowledge and New York flavour to complement our Australian produce.”

Since its opening in 2006 in Manhattan’s East Village in New York, Death & Co has been a must-visit destination for serious drinks and cocktail enthusiasts, and the winner of several major industry awards, including America’s Best Cocktail Bar and World’s Best Cocktail Menu at Tales of the Cocktail. Boasting supremely talented and creative bar staff and uniquely innovative menus, Death & Co is also the birthplace of some of the modern era’s most iconic drinks. Having evolved and changed over the years from a stand-alone small bar in NYC, the brand now has a sprawling cocktail lounge and restaurant in Denver along with a more intimate bar in Los Angeles, paying homage to its New York roots.
