Neptune’s Mediterranean take on the Sunday roast

The arrival of Hayden McMillan to Neptune will see the celebrated Head Chef slow things down on Sundays, launching an ever-changing roast series – dubbed Seventh Day – at the Windsor local.

At Neptune, the seventh day of the week is all about feasting with family and friends, and what better way to embrace the last weeks of winter in Melbourne than by enjoying a hearty meal and premium pours.

 

Over the next few weeks, the menu will showcase an unlikely take on the traditional Sunday meal, offering a two-course, family-style feed for a wholesome end to the weekend. Each week, Hayden and his team will spotlight a new protein alongside comforting seasonal vegetables, house-made bread and an indulgent dessert.

 

But it doesn’t stop with August, as the first Sunday in September is Father’s Day, and guests are invited to cosy up in front of the open fire at Neptune and treat Dad to a special day, with another exciting Mediterranean take on the classic Sunday roast.
