Coming into the festive season, The Old Clare Hotel is collaborating with two brands that pair beautifully together: lush indoor plants and handmade ceramics
At the end of November, Leaf Supply will pop up in The Old Clare’s Bottle Shop space – from Thursday, 28 November to Sunday, 1 December from 2pm to 7pm. The online store, which delivers lush and rare indoor plants and a curated selection of botanical wares, will have plenty of plant friends available for purchase for all those plant parents, people looking for a second chance at keeping a plant alive and gift shoppers.
The Bottle Shop will transform into an indoor jungle for the pop-up, which will feature a selection of curated indoor plants sourced from local nurseries, paired with planters, handmade ceramic pots and beautiful botanical wares. There will also be signed copies of the new book Indoor Jungle by Leaf Supply co-founders Lauren Camilleri and Sophia Kaplan.
Closer to Christmas, Motion Ceramics will be popping up in the space, from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 December. The crockery, all made by hand by Jefferson Crozier and Iris Rees, is used in both A1 Canteen and Automata. In the past, Motion Ceramics have also made wheel-thrown stoneware clay pots for Leaf Supply.
“The Old Clare is a hub for creatives all over Sydney and The Bottle Shop allows us to work with local businesses and artisans in the community to transform the space into their home for a few days. We really love what both Leaf Supply and Motion Ceramics do, and the way handmade ceramics and beautiful plants come together. We want people to come in to meet these makers, shop for their homes or Christmas gifts and stick around for a drink, or dinner with us too.” says Kimberley Peel, creative project manager of The Old Clare Hotel.
