The restaurant offers Chinese dishes with a modern twist in the stunning background of Sydney's Chinese Garden of Friendship.
The Gardens by Lotus is a Chinese teahouse by day and a Sichuan restaurant and events space by night located inside the famous Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour.
Hospitality innovator, Michael Jiang, created Lotus Dining Group in 2012. Fuelled by a desire to create a venue that both respected and reignited memories of growing up in China, Michael and his team of hospitality innovators have gone on to grow the group from one to seven restaurants.
“The Gardens is an exciting new challenge for Lotus Dining Group but one that brings a truly rewarding experience both for the Lotus Dining team and for our valued guests,” says Michael.
Guests can expect to see traditional Chinese dishes with a sophisticated and innovative twist. Highlights include Squid Ink Dumplings, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Pan-Fried Lamb, Leek Pancakes, Hainan Chicken, Salt and Pepper Tofu Salad and Mango Pudding.
From 6 pm, a localised Sichuan menu takes its place. The menu features a little less spice to ensure inclusion for all tastes and spice thresholds.
On offer hot from the woks will be dishes such as Cured Duck with Garlic Shoot and Celery, Chicken Fillet with Mustard Seed and Triple Chilli, and a new Lotus signature, Fried Chilli Mud Crab as well as Lotus’ famous Dumplings.
