Fratelli Fresh adds line-up of fabulous activities to its August calendar

Fratelli Fresh is adding a series of new events to its calendar in August, from $1 oysters and a weekend of all-you-can-eat pizza, to exclusive Meet the Chef dinners and a two-day family festival.

Fratelli Fresh is dialling up the decadence throughout August, serving oysters for $1 all day, every day. Guests can indulge in unlimited oysters, with a minimum of six per serving, with the purchase of any drink. Each restaurant will also offer a special oyster and Champagne pairing featuring six oysters and a glass of Chandon for $14.

Sydneysiders who missed out on a European summer are in luck. Fratelli Fresh is giving one diner the chance to win a trip to Italy, the birthplace of pizza and pasta. Between Thursday, 1 August and Saturday, 31 August, guests who purchase a main meal will go in the draw to win a Flight Centre voucher valued at $3000.

Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest has added new cooking classes ($49pp) to its culinary calendar, every Saturday throughout August. Classes include ravioli making, a special dessert masterclass and pizza making. Classes are around 12 people in size and commence on Saturday, 3 August. Participants will also enjoy the fruits of their labour with a glass of wine afterwards. The full schedule can be found here.

Diners will have the opportunity to meet two of Fratelli’s talented Italian Chefs this August, at three-course Meet the Chef dinners ($59pp) at Fratelli Fresh Alexandria and Crows Nest.

Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest Chef Emanuele Rizzo will host the first dinner on Thursday, 8 August at 7pm. The menu, which is designed to showcase quintessential dishes from his home region of Piedmont, features sliced veal with tuna sauce and capers, braised beef cheek with red wine sauce and fontina polenta, and an Italian crème caramel known as budino, with vanilla cream, caramel and spiced orange.

Fratelli Fresh Alexandria Chef Andrea Gandolfi will also be cooking dishes from her home region, Lombardy, at 7pm on Thursday, 15 August. The menu features minestrone soup, osso bucco with saffron risotto and gremolata, and orange flan with vanilla cream and caramel. Wine will be matched with each course at each dinner. Bookings can be made here.

Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is throwing an all-weekend pizza party on Saturday, 10 August and Sunday, 11 August.  Guests can load up on two hours of all-you-can-eat pizza ($20pp) on each day, with an optional, unlimited beer and wine package available for an additional $29pp.

On each day there will also be pizza masterclasses ($49pp) at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Guests will learn how to craft the perfect Napoli-style dough, top it off with their favourite ingredients and sit down to enjoy their creations afterwards. Bookings can be made here.

Fratelli Fresh is hosting a series of cheese dinners from Monday, 19 August to Thursday, 22 August. The four-course menu ($59pp) features grilled tomino cheese with rocket and cherry tomatoes; five-cheese ravioli with spinach and walnuts; gnocchi with pancetta, peas, radicchio and goats cheese; and baked ricotta cheesecake with Aperol sorbet. The dinners will take place at Entertainment Quarter, Westfield, Crows Nest and Alexandria restaurants.

Fratelli Fresh is bringing its popular children’s programming back to Darling Harbour for a weekend family festival on Saturday, 24 August and Sunday, 25 August. A fantastic kids-eat-free menu is available all weekend and entitles up to four children to eat free with a full-price paying adult. Parents can get their caffeine fix with $1 coffee on offer each day.

An exciting schedule of fun and free activities, which were an absolute hit during the winter school holidays, includes a rotation of interactive Disney shows, theatrical performances and a reptile show. After previously selling out its kids masterclasses, the Darling Harbour restaurant will also bring back two pizza workshops for the weekend.
