#FebFireFund Update

Victorian hospitality industry unites for bushfire-affected Gippsland communities

Last month, Victorian chefs Jesse Gerner (BombaAñadaNomada), Scott Pickett (EstelleMatilda

PastorePickett’s DeliLupo), Alejandro Saravia (Pastuso) alongside Cam Smith (Eat It! 3RRR) created 

the #FebFireFund and called on the Victorian hospitality industry to unite in joining them to raise money 

for the Gippsland community, with 100% of funds raised going to BlazeAid.


Here are some of the initiatives from venues that have joined #FebFireFund:


Bomba Tapas Bar and Rooftop

All month long, Bomba will be donating all sales from the Bodriggy Pale Ale tap on the Rooftop to the #FebFireFund. At the restaurant, all sales from its jumbo quail with fig, pistachio and sherry vinegar caramel dish will go to the fund. Each table will also be asked to contribute $2 on top of their bill, which Bomba will match dollar for dollar and feed back into the Fund.


Añada Bar & Restaurant 

Añada will be asking every customer who dines in the month of February to donate $1 towards their bill that they will match dollar for dollar, with all funds raised going directly into the #FebFireFund. 


Nomada Food and Wine

Throughout February, Nomada Food & Wine will be donating $1 from each serve of croqueta and churros sold, as well as $1 for selected wines by the glass to the #FebFireFund.


Lucy Liu Kitchen and Bar

For the month of February, Lucy Lui will be donating $3 from every Lucy Liu × Heathcote Gin beverages to the #FebFireFund.


Matilda 159 DomainEstelleLupo and Pastore 

From now until the end of February, Scott Pickett’s venues including Matilda 159 Domain, Estelle, Lupo and Pastore will be donating $5 from each ‘The Supporter’ (Anther Spirits Gin, house-made lemon verbena syrup) cocktail sold to the #FebFireFund. 


Scott Pickett will also be auctioning off the first event in a series of masterclasses at Estelle in Northcote. Beginning on Monday, 2 March and running every first Monday of the month, Estelle will be hosting interactive cooking classes with Scott himself. Guests will have the opportunity to watch, learn and jump up to cook with Scott at his longest standing restaurant. There are only 12 places available at each event with a specially themed menu each month.  


The first class in the series will be auctioned off with all proceeds going directly to the #FebFireFund. The class will take place on Monday, 2 March at 6.30pm and includes the class, a three-course dinner, matched wines and a signed copy of Scott’s first cookbook, A Cook’s Story.


Bids can be made via the Estelle website with bidding closing on Sunday, 23 February at midnight. Each bid made is for two people. Winners will be announced on Monday, 24 February.


Transport Hotel

Transport Hotel will be supporting the #FebFireFund and donating $1 for every table served at Taxi Kitchen throughout February and Transport Public Bar will be accepting gold coin donations.


#FebFireFund Donations Raffle

For every $10 donated to the #FebFireFund GoFundMe by individual patrons, they will automatically receive entry into a raffle draw, set to take place at the end of the February.

The prizes have been generously donated by #FebFireFund restaurant partners and include:

~ A table for 10 at TarraWarra Estate. The prize includes a three-course lunch for 10 people in the TarraWarra Estate Private Dining Room in the Estate's cellar door including matched wines. On arrival, guests will be guided through a private wine tasting before Head Chef Mark Ebbels greets guests ahead of lunch. Valued at $1,200.

~ A table for six at Bomba with a delicious Spanish feast including food and wine to the value of $500.

~ A table of two at Añada with drinks and food to the value of $200.
