Endless opportunities, including pasta for life, at Fratelli Fresh this summer

Don’t want summer to end? Fratelli Fresh feels the same, so has prepared an all-out Italian summer with endless experiences, spritzes, prizes and entertainment to revel in throughout the warmer months.

Kicking things off are endless pastabilities, with 200 pastaports available for $499. The first 200 customers to score a pastaport will receive a never-ending, lifetime supply of Fratelli Fresh pizzas, pastas and salads. That’s right, there is no cut-off number of meals and no cut-off date to enjoy them. If gastronomic travellers invest upfront, they will pay just $400, or $499 if they split payment over eight weeks. Pastaports go on sale on Monday, 6 January and can be bought online at Fratelli Fresh, or in store. Purchasers also receive a beautiful Fratelli gift box, brimful of gourmet treats.

Summer is the season of the spritz and, as an homage, Fratelli Fresh is continuing the 25 spritzes of Spritzmas to combat the sizzling heat. Enjoy the delicate notes of apricot and thyme, the flavour bomb that chilli and orange delivers, the tartness of sour cherry, and the subtle richness of raspberry Chambord, alongside 21 other flavour-filled, fizzy cocktails. The endless flavours of spritzes are $12 each, or $10 on Spritz Sundays.

During tennis season in January 2020, Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is partnering Aperol to bring a pop-up Spritz Lane to the harbourside dining precinct. During the ATP Cup (January 3rd–12th) and the Australian Open (January 20th–February 2nd) there will be a dedicated seating area with Aperol umbrellas and cushions, a large-screen TV to watch the games, and a dedicated spritz drink cart where guests can purchase $10 Aperol spritzes, $20 super spritzes, and a $20 Aperol spritz and margherita pizza combination.

Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour will also hold table tennis tournaments for children and adults. The junior tournament will be held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January, with a $50 voucher for 1st place and a $25 voucher for 2nd place, as well as a range of Aperol merchandise. The adults’ tournament will be held on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January, with a $100 voucher for 1st place and a bottle of Aperol, as well as a bottle of Aperol for 2nd place.

Happy hour has also been extended at all Fratelli Fresh locations until the end of January and is now available seven days a week, from 3pm to 6pm. The three-hour happy hour includes a range of snacks and drinks from $3 to $6, including $3 olives and gelato, $4 fries, bruschetta and garlic bread, $5 arancini balls, zucchini flowers, house beer, wine and spirits, and $6 Aperol spritz, negronis, espresso martinis, calamari, margherita and diavola pizzas. Oyster hour is also running daily from 5pm to 6pm. Regular oysters are $2 each and gold-dusted ‘golden’ oysters are $4 each.

Fratelli’s crowd-pleasing, three-course, share-style menu, Festa Italiana, ($79pp) has also been extended and is now available every Thursday through to Sunday. Starting with Fratelli’s signature antipasti board of tomato bruschetta, olives, buffalo mozzarella, focaccia and cured meats, the menu also includes a selection of signature pizza and pasta dishes, including gnocchi with pancetta, peas, goats cheese and baby spinach; lamb ragu and penne; basilico e pomodori with pesto, ricotta, cherry tomato, parmesan and basil; margherita pizza; and house-made gelato. A two-hour drinks package is included and covers espresso martini, wine, beer and Aperol spritz. Festa Italiana is also available at all Fratelli Fresh locations.

Endless good deals continue throughout summer, including 50 per cent off the bill every Monday, all-you-can-eat antipasti ($20pp) every Tuesday, two-for-one pizza on Wednesdays, and all-you-can-eat mussels ($25pp) every Thursday.

Families looking to cool down in the summer sizzle can keep the kids busy with endless entertainment during January at Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour, Alexandria and Crows Nest. The family-favourite restaurants are set for a line-up of activities, including pizza classes, magic shows, chocolate spider drink and fairy bread making classes, Disney parties and superhero shows.
