‘Big Sam Young’ adds to his ‘Local Flavours’ Menu at Chargrill Charlie’s

Chargrill Charlie’s has continued to add to its ‘Local Flavours’ community initiative and menu this week, with a brand new addition from Lotus Head Chef, Big Sam Young

On offer will be ‘Sam's Mum’s Famous Dumplings’ – Chicken & Garlic Chive Dumplings (chicken thigh, garlic, chive, carrot, water chestnut and shiitake mushroom) and Spinach and Mushroom Dumplings (spinach, carrot, vermicelli noodles, shiitake mushrooms). The limited-edition menu item will be available for takeaway from all 13 Chargrill Charlie’s Sydney stores from Tuesday, 26th May for $25 for 8 dumplings via the Chargrill Charlie’s app, website, pick-up in store and select delivery partners until solid out.

 

This marks Young's third ‘Local Flavours’ collaboration with Chargrill Charlie’s after two successful menu injections that saw him make a delicious Lasagna al Forno and a variety of Asian-inspired meals with Jiak’s Junda Khoo. The local initiative has also seen Redfern’s modern Isreali neighbourhood restaurant, Kepos Street Kitchen sell much-loved and missed menu items along with a sold-out one tonne of triple choc cookie dough from punk pastry princess, Anna Polyviou.

 

Despite government restrictions easing, Chargrill Charlie’s remains dedicated to continuing their Local Flavours initiative during this recovery period. Ryan Sher, Co-Owner of Chargrill Charlie’s said, “While restaurants are slowly beginning to reopen, this isn’t an overnight fix for those chefs and workers in our industry. Our aim with ‘Local Flavours’ is to continue to support those on their road to recovery and keep our hospitality community united and strong.”
