Bartolo unveils new Spring cocktail menu

The fourth seasonal cocktail menu will launch this Sunday

Bartolo is excited to announce that their much-anticipated fourth seasonal cocktail menu will be launching on 15 September and will be celebrating everything that makes up an Australian springtime.

When asked about the inspiration for the menu, Bar Manager Grazia di Franco simply asks, “Have you tasted Spring?” She continues, “When we consider what Spring tastes like, our memories of this season come up, fast and clear. For many, Spring is tied to our most cherished memories and I think that ‘blooming’ is the perfect word to describe this season, as well as our new cocktail menu.”

Recognised as one of the top 10 venues in Australia as finalists for Best Cocktail List in the 2019 Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards, Bartolo’s new spring menu offers six new signature cocktails, which will stand alongside six of their famous ‘twists-on-a-classic’. Each drink has a distinctive flavour profile that draws on something unique to springtime in Australia.

The new signature cocktails will include:

White Clouds: it’s nothing but blue skies and sunshine with this sweet, round and creamy drink

Low Tide: inspired by the sea (of course!) but also seaweed. Sounds weird, but this fresh, herbal, savoury cocktail is 100% delicious

Flowers: like an enormous garden with fresh and colourful blooms, this highball is sweet, floral and bright

Apple Tree: slightly sour, fresh and a bit tannic, this drink will have you thinking you’re sitting in an apple orchard at the height of Spring

Falling in Love: what’s Spring without a new fling? Falling in Love (just like the feeling …) is curious and bittersweet, made with butter and Australian native strawberry gum

Take a Break (main pic): like sipping a coffee in the sun, this pleasantly dry cocktail includes strawberries for that added Springtime win

Bartolo’s cocktail menu not only tastes incredible, but has also become quite the talking point thanks to the hand-drawn menu images. These ink and pencil illustrations include digital colour and collage elements and are individually created by artist Simon O’Carrigan.
