Award-winning vigneron and founder of The Flying Winemaker, Eddie McDougall has launched Little Pig Rosé: a Shiraz, Sangiovese, and Merlot blend from Margaret River
Appreciating Australia’s penchant for Provence-style rosés, McDougall is looking forward to introducing a dry drop of floral aromatics with ripe summer berries, and crisp apple notes to the palate.
The name ‘Little Pig’ pays homage to McDougall’s Chinese heritage and is a tribute to his late grandmother, who nicknamed him ‘xiǎo zhū’ as a child, which directly translates in English to ‘little pig’. Coincidentally, the rosé launches in the same year as the Lunar calendar’s Year Of The Pig.
“This is a special moment for me, my family, and the entire Flying Winemaker team. Little Pig Rosé was made with the summer lifestyle in mind – and we know Aussies will appreciate the quality, style and taste as we speed towards summer,” says McDougall.
